I think his case has merit. Although different, it is a spinoff of his creation, which was a spinoff of another of his creations.
For the record, the first seasons of NCIS have come way down in price. They were 40 dollars but I've found them for less than 10 bucks. Maybe a part of it is the lack of anything else on, but I've really been enjoying both the original and LA shows lately.
