"X Factor" had its first audition taping yesterday in LA (in an arena
with a live audience, similar to the "Got Talent" franchise) and Abdul
was on the panel with the previously announced LA Reid, Cheryl Cole
and the Cowellmeister:

Ticketmaster sent me an E-mail over the weekend in which they're
indicating that they are the ticket supplier for the "X Factor"
audition tour (which hits Chicago next month at the Sears Center in
suburban Hoffman Estates, where WTTW has taped some episodes for the
revived "SoundStage")--I would assume that the tickets themselves are
free, like all commercial broadcasting tickets save the Grand Ole
Opry, but is Ticketmaster doing their usual $10 service charges here?
Since I'm not going out to the suburbs, I will not know personally.
