The Disney CEO made this statement (knowing that ESPN's subscriber
fees are already the highest in cable) this time at Disney's second
quarter earnings call--rumors are that the Worldwide Leader will join
with Fox (not ABC) for the broadcast rights to the 2014 Winter Games
and 2016 Summer Games (ESPN and Fox already co-own rights to Pac-12
football and basketball games) and try to force Kabletown into an
inflated bid for NBC to retain the rights:

CBS and Turner are also expected to make a joint bid for the Olympics.
