Actually, you mean "on LA Law during those awful POST-David Kelley years."
Martinez joined the cast in the fall of 1992, just after Kelley left to start "Picket Fences" and his own production company. And it was Kelley's successors as writers who ruined the show. Martinez' character suffered the worst - his ridiculous plotline made you wonder if he was a nice guy or a stalker out to kill Sheila Kelley (no relation, I think). By the time they revealed that he was innocent, and that the real stalker was a character we had never even heard of before, Martinez' character was tainted; he never earned the audience's trust. As for the EW article, I don't think it's fair to include game shows and talk shows who replaced hosts (Price is Right, The View, etc.) alongside drama and comedy series that replaced actors. It's not a fair comparison. And if you're going to include "Live with Regis and..." whoever, well, you might as well include the Deborah Norville fiasco on "Today" or the Kevin Newman/Lisa McRee era on GMA. -Tim On Saturday, May 14, 2011 9:36:42 PM UTC-4, Kevin M.
