As I noted when the Sheen story started, syndicators see 200 episodes
as a full order for a show and 2.5M has already done 186. After that
the payoff for the studio and network goes back to first run episodes
and the outlay for actors and writers makes continuing the show
doubtful. NBC ran into a similar situation with Friends and they made
the decision to do a season after they reached 200 shows mostly
because of the lack of replacement possibilities. We'll see what
happens with 2.5M.
