The home of laugh-track sitcoms would be the last place you would expect the deadpan faux newsmen to be at, but the Onion has signed with CBS Studios for a first-look deal that would not be based on Onion-branded properties (like their renewed "Onion News Network" for IFC and the still-in-limbo-for-renewal "Onion SportsDome" for Comedy Central):
