The channel that has always considered appealing to American viewers
more important than appealing to expats and Anglophiles has greenlit
two unscripted series to be produced in the U.S.: "Would You Rather
with Graham Norton," a comedy game show with the comedian and chat
host to be shot in NY, and "Hard Drive with Richard Hammond," hosted
by one of the "Top Gear" lads and an Americanization of the Beeb
format "World's Toughest Driving Tests":

Other reality formats are developing and the expats and Anglophiles
should accept these two things: Outside of "Doctor Who," BBCA's most
popular shows are the Gordon Ramsay reruns (from both the UK and U.S.
"Kitchen Nightmares"), "Top Gear" and Graham Norton because they're
easy to jump into from channel surfing (just like "Changing Rooms" and
"Ground Force" a decade ago) and Americans like their TV shows to
start at the top of the hour and the bottom of the hour and not at any
other times and BBCA has to fit what they air to fit that requirement.
