President Obama is scheduled to speak to the nation on the debt crisis
tonight at 9 p.m. ET. Things could change, but as of 15 minutes ago,
all Big 4 network web sites were showing regular programming ("2.5
Men" and "Mike and Molly" reruns on CBS, a first OTA airing of "L&O:
CI" on NBC, the second half of "The Bachelorette" on ABC and a first
run "MasterChef" on Fox). Of course, some PBS stations may carry the
speech and the cable news and business news channels and C-SPAN will
carry the speech (I'm assuming that Current TV will extend "Countdown"
to 10 p.m. to cover the speech), but if the nets aren't carrying it,
they better have a good excuse.
