He had originally announced this month as his departure, but NY ABC- owned WABC, technically the show's producer, asked for more time to do a proper farewell clip show (in November sweeps, of course)--a series of guest hosts will be sitting next to Kelly for the rest of the season before Regis' replacement is announced:
