Agree with what you say about sitcoms usually taking awhile to hit their
stride, but I disagree with you about which is better.

IMO Two Broke Girls shows promise (meaning what doesn't work can be fixed),
whereas Whitney is just boring.

The second episode was definitely worse than the first which I thought
was mediocre.  I thought the disjointedness and poor timing were just
because it was a pilot, but the second episode had the same issues.

I'll give it a few more episodes; it has been my experience that
sometimes comedies take a while for everyone, from cast to writers and
directors, to get the rhythm of the thing, but right now I'm just
watching more because I sometimes want to have a half hour show to
watch.  It won't take much to send me back to my rewatch of Sports
Night instead of watching this show though.

The other thing I don't get from critics was comparing this show to
Whitney.  The critics all said that 2 Broke Girls was better, but I
felt that just the opposite was true.  Whitney wasn't great, but,
IMHO, it had better cohesion and rhythm than 2 Broke Girls.
