PBS station WQED in Pittsburgh is planning to switch one of their digital subchannels to repeats of pledge drive programming--complete with pitches--for those who can't get enough of Andre Rieu, Celtic Woman, Suze Orman lectures and doo-wop groups:
http://current.org/funding/funding1119all-pledge.html No indication that they're going to cut back on pledging on the main channel, though. One figured that this was coming--in Chicago, ever since Northwest Indiana's WYIN "Lakeshore PBS" went 24 hours last year after signing off at midnight for years, it always seems like they are airing pledge programs in their overnight hours. -- TV or Not TV ....
