I am a huge Obama fan, dislike Hitler, and have seen almost every Monday
Night Football game ever broadcast. Hank Williams Jr has never been a
particularly important part of my MNF experience, and it is hardly
surprising that he is an incoherent Tea Partier. But I think there is a bit
of an over-reaction to these Hitler comparisons. Goodwin's Law and Jon
Stewart have effectively deflated any pretension to credibility anyone
invoking Hitler in media conversations might have, and I think that is
pretty much penalty enough. Nobody cares what Hank Williams Jr says on F&F
anyway, and nobody really thinks that President Obama is just as bad as
Hitler (or, conversely, that Hitler was only just as bad as conservative
Republicans think Obama is). Given that Hitler analogies can safely be
ignored, the comparison that might be more offensive (I guess this would be
for Boehner) is to Netanyahu.

Let Junior play his little song and otherwise just ignore him (I honestly
did not realize that man had any existence outside of the 30 seconds
preceding football games on Monday Night).
