Although his vocal sound effects weren't particularly realistic, Tom Keith has been an integral part of "A Prairie Home Companion" for most of its history--in the Twin Cities, he spent 26 years as part of the refined-yet-zany morning zoo on Minnesota Public Radio's "Morning Show" (started by Kellior) under the name of "Jim Ed Poole":
