Warren Littlefield, the architect of NBC's Thursday night sitcom block
(with "ER" following) that dominated the ratings in the mid-90s, says
that the audiences are just too fragmented to allow for another
ratings and programming blockbuster like "Must-See TV":

LIttlefield went to producing after leaving NBC--he's also written a
book, "Top of the Rock:  Inside the Rise and Fall of Must See TV,"
which will come out in May.
