The NPR news quiz will present a televersion of its year in review
show on BBCA on Dec. 23, one day before its radio broadcast--somewhere
else BBCA said it picked "Wait, Wait" because of the British tradition
of TV and radio panel games (but I can hear the expats and Anglophiles
wondering why they don't show "Have I Got News for You" instead):

Meanwhile, for the expats and Anglos, when this comes on, play Leroy
Anderson's "The Typewriter," put photos of Sandi Toksvig and your
favorite BBC Radio 4 announcer (mine would be Kathy "Posh Radio 4
Lady" Clugston) on the TV set covering Peter and Carl and pretend it's
"The News Quiz."
