One of my friends pointed out that Scrooge McDuck might work as an example of the sort of cartoon character the folks at Fox would like. I added Richie Rich as a second option. Then we were stumped. Daffy Duck probably doesn't work since he is a buffoon who tends to get his beak blown off by Elmer Fudd with some regularity.
It turns out, characters that are amoral, money-grubbing, and isolationist don't seem to work in animated form. I did learn recently that they have a version of The Apprentice for kids in the UK.
