Some would say that KPCC, owned by Pasadena City Colleges but operated by
American Public Media Group, the ten-ton gorilla behind Minnesota Public
Radio, Garrison Kellior, "Marketplace" and ultimately almost everything on
public radio that isn't NPR, is just as much a Goliath as NBC, especially
in Minnesota, where lefties love to make smug remarks about the "Kling-on
Empire" (as in founder and former CEO Bill Kling), but MPR's three stations
kick the butts of their non-com competition in the Twin Cities in revenues
and ratings.
