So the question remains, since I used a different name on the
confidentiality agreement they forced us to sign, should I include
spoilers in my review of the taping I attended Saturday afternoon?

I will say this much: There is a new fastest time on the celebrity
board (which is now a screen instead of a magnetized metal plank).

The taping itself was actually fun. They kept the pace up nicely, and
Adam Ferrara performed about a 25 minute comedy set during the longest
stretch of downtime, and he f-ing nailed it. Rutledge Wood was also
very personable.

The two people I went with (who were boyfriend and girlfriend)
pretended not to know each other when the warm-up comic (Tom, who also
does the warm-up on "Ellen" apparently) organized a makeshift Dating
Game while the stage was being reset. Long story short, they won and
proceeded to immediately make out on the set of the show, causing
quite a scene. Tom didn't know what to say or do at that point. The
prize were Grand Slam breakfasts at the nearby Denny's (which expired
the next day and we promptly gave them to another twosome).

The structure of the taping is to load the audience into a tent
adjacent to the set and screen the segments for upcoming shows. Cars
littering the nearby area offer hints as to which of the UK segments
had been adapted (limos -- not really a spoiler since they were seen
at the Emmys) and which cars had been wrecked by Ferrara (Pinto). Once
the stage was ready, we were led inside and watched the celebrity
interview (a previous audience watched the celebrity get into the car
-- audiences don't actually get to watch the fastest lap). Then they
reset the stage for the intros, bumpers, and wrap ups, shooting
multiple takes of each.

The signage on where to park could have been clearer, but otherwise it
was a solid taping. I'd easily recommend it for fans of the show, cars
in general, or those who want to see a fun taping that doesn't feel
like it goes on forever. We arrived at about 3:00pm (roughly 30
minutes late) and were out by 6:00pm, and we saw huge chunks of the
show.

Episodes for the new season begin airing on Valentine's Day.
