So let's argue that the ratings are in line with what Current hoped for (I
don't know if it was at Current's request or if Nielsen believes Current
has enough viewers to warrant daily tracking, that is at least another good
data point), the question still hangs out there -- why isn't Keith
Olbermann hosting the primary shows? He is the second-most famous name at
Current behind Al Gore, he is the reason they are taking a more newsy
approach to programming. Behind-the-scenes drama is always the easy go-to
explanation when Olbermann is involved, but it's hard to think of another
reason for his absences. I don't think there are any more sick relatives
(and I hope there aren't any more sick relatives).
