A few points: Most of the episode is tongue-in-cheek about Clarkson's previous statements, including several jokes about Mexico not being happy with him. They basically played it up to the point of self-parody. But I still maintain the joke/premise in question was made at the expense of the hosts, not the host country. -- Kevin M.
