Some quick reactions, based on dipping in and out of this morning's "debut."

1. Somebody thought opening the show with a 90-second news montage was
a good idea. Somebody was wrong.

2. All of my reservations about Charlie Rose proved out.

3. If Scott Pelley added any new information to the ostensible
follow-up to the "60 Minutes" stem cell fraud story, I must have
blinked and missed it. (That the indicted people mentioned last night
were now arrested?)

4. The "day one" acknowledgments were annoying to start with, and
progressed to infuriating. Thankfully, that can't continue. Unless,
tomorrow, they keep indicating that it's "week one."
