What's behind all this is that the former Lizzy Grant of Lake Placid, NY has reinvented herself as an indie rock sex goddess through a series of vidclips that have been the subject of much debate in the indie rock world as to how "authentic" she is. Pitchfork loves her, other hipster blogs were more doubtful. "SNL" seems to have decided this, but it has been pointed out that a lot of hipster faves are not very good singers, either.
