That sucks. Those of us in the Android modding community have used this site quite a bit for the sharing of new ROMs. Completely legal, just some big files.
I wonder what justification they are using. Did they not honor DMCA takedown requests? Megaupload is considered a "cyberlocker," in which users can upload and transfer files that are too large to send by email. Such sites can have perfectly legitimate uses. But the Motion Picture Association of America, which has campaigned for a crackdown on piracy, estimated that the vast majority of content being shared on Megaupload was in violation of copyright laws. So it is just based upon MPAA's estimate. I find their estimates to be highly suspect seeing how their estimates of the cost of piracy have been shown to be bogus.
