An update: The Google engineer I've been dealing with, a woman named Katherine, has noted that there is no actual forum for officially addressing issues with Google Groups (no kidding, my primary Gmail has been banned/blocked from accessing Google Groups for three years and nobody knows why and there is nobody to contact about it). Anyway, she is taking the issue directly to some of her coworkers who work directly on Google Groups to see what they can uncover/resolve/panderingly suggest it is our fault.
