For those that listen to podcasts, you may want to consider HumbleAndFredRadio.com

In the late 80's and early 90's they were the morning show guys on the Toronto alt-rock station Edge102.1. Over the years they moved stations, moved to different stations, etc. Then they found themselves both out of work. So they committed to start their old show "Humble and Fred" on a podcast, 5 days a week, from a small studio in part of Toronto (Etobicoke).

I have listened to a number of the eps and I generally like them. Their guest list has been pretty good - but may be a bit toronto-local: Alex Lifeson (rush), a s*itload of toronto media folk, The Sheepdogs, George Strombo... , Frank Sinatra Jr, . The most interesting (media-wise) saga in the fall was when one of their old employers told them that the former employer (Corus) owned the rights to the name HumbleAndFred -- so they took this and ran with it.... media... outrage.. .. finally getting and agreement to raise a few thousand dollars for a charity.

And in January 2012, after ~100 days, they got a distribution (promotion) agreement with one of Canada's major media companies (Rogers).

the business of podcasting may have a part in the future.
