An interesting note from Carter's post: The first, hard news hour of "Today" gets better ratings than the other two hours (and the Kathie Lee and Hoda show). Shouldn't that be a clue to NBC that the other two hours be hard news and that Kathie Lee and Hoda should be jettisoned from "Today" to be considered a daytime program and legitimately compete with the syndicated shows in the east and "The View" and "The Price is Right" in the rest of the country?
