That's what I'm saying--29 million homes choose to have HBO on their TV,
while 102 million homes have FNC on their channel lineup--I'm assuming that
FNC is on most "expanded basic" tiers, meaning that only those carrying the
"lifeline" tiers (local OTA stations, public access and local origination,
shopping channels, perhaps TBS or WGN America or an odd cable channel here
and there) don't have availability to FNC. In terms of a "total universe,"
HBO is probably on virtually every cable and satellite system in America,
but the 29 million who pay for HBO is what they care about--and I'm
assuming that the 4.1M for Maher is just the Friday night live airing and
doesn't count repeats or VOD.

I am also saying that despite all of the "NUMBER ONE IN CABLE NEWS!"
sloganeering by AIles & Co., only 2 million of the 102 million available
cable homes on average watch Fox News in prime time. Billo pulls between
2.5 and 3 million a night, but Hannity only pulls between 1.5 and 2 million
a night (perhaps both get bigger numbers when a big story breaks). In
comparison, more people per each program watch Williams, Sawyer and
Pelley--and Lehrer on PBS--than watch *any* cable news in prime time.
