ABC seems to have fixed its sound problem, which also seemed to manifest itself on its other shows--lately, the network's sound is clean to me, at least in the mono form Comcast chooses to pump it in, even though my cable box is set to stereo.
I have been noticing on E!'s reruns of "The Voice' that a weird sound comes up in the background on a lot of audience applause. I don't know if it's Christian Schrader's applause tracks or some acoustic quirk at the Warners soundstage they shoot at. Of course, considering the unsweetened rabidness of the audiences at "The Voice" (and "Dancing," for that matter), why sweetening, especially since "The Voice" doesn't add canned response to the tape packages like "Dancing" does (and, despite stage manager Debbie Williams swearing up and down that "Idol" doesn't sweeten, that show does).
