that implied hard news has to be dry and bland... I'd just like to see
news programing free of know-nothing pundits, heavy on fact-checked
information with an emphasis on being thorough instead of merely being
first... the role of a journalist used to be to take what is
newsworthy and make it entertain... now the role of a journalist is to
take something entertaining and attempt to make it appear
newsworthy... I prefer the old ways
