While understanding the decision of the judge is final, I still feel like the contestant got a raw deal on this. Anyone else feel that way?

Looking off of my DVR:
While I can assume her intent, the correct response (we'll leave it at a familiar brand name) was five letters long, and a reasonable person at best would likely deduce only four, and even then, her A more resembled a / \. While the show sometimes gives leeway for spelling, this instance probably wouldn't qualify.

Besides, even with a legibly correct answer, she would've finished in second ($2,000 prize) instead of third ($1,000). So, as Alex would say, "No harm, no foul" -- though somebody inevitably gets the shortest of the short shrift.

Then again, the show can always bring her back at some future date, citing judges' error.
