HBO.  1985-1986, according to Wiki (which doesn't sound right--I think it
was 1987-88, since I got cable in 1987 and then saw the first season), and
then on USA from 1988-92 (which explains the Sci-Fi reruns).  Of course
(considering the time period), it was actually produced in Canada as a
multi-national co-production (Wiki doesn't say who aired it in the Great
White North).
