Self-imposed ratings are a pre-emptive move against government imposed censorship. They are clearly unenforceable - parents can use ratings when sitting in the same room with kids when watching TV, but those same kids can watch online shows on demand and on their own devices. This whole thing is a sop to the FCC to make them go away. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
