The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Seth is saying no-no: "A "Saturday Night Live" cast member has responded to widespread reports that he’s the leading contender to replace Regis Philbin on “Live with Kelly!” Seth Meyers, who’s also “SNL’s” head writer, tells the South Florida Sun-Sentinel<http://weblogs.sun-sentinel.com/entertainment/thingstodo/2012/07/seth_meyers_im_not_the_new_reg.html>that he's not interested in the co-hosting job on the morning show.
"No, no, no, no, no,” Meyers said. "I know [Reege’s replacement] is a very important thing down there. But, right now, what I would say to you: I’m really in love with the job I have. I’m very excited to be going back [to ‘SNL’] for the election season, which is always fun.” As previously reported<http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/tvbizwire/2012/07/snl-star-has-the-inside-track.php>, Meyers has been rumored to be the likely replacement for Philbin. He's filling in as co-host with Kelly Ripa on the show this week." To me, this reads to me much like a politician denying interest in being a vice-president. Somehow, Adam Lambert's admission that he would love to be a judge on American Idol is refreshing to me. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
