Microsoft sold its half of the cable network in 2005, and it's now planning to sell its half of the msnbc.com web site (consistently one of top three news sites in traffic, thanks to all those links on the msn.com home page) to NBCU--the site will be rebranded nbcnews.com, while the cable channel remains the same--Howie Kurtz: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/07/11/nbc-microsoft-getting-online-divorce.html And as usual, the wingnuts and Drudgies are chortling as if it's some sort of victory, which it isn't. I'd love to ask a teabagger his estimate of FNC's prime time audience. It would probably be hilarious.
