I don't watch the program so I'll trust those in the know but I thought Dinklage's "Game of Thrones" character was a lead/man character on the program in the most recent season. As for me, while I know the awards are all about quality, I do wonder why CBS/NBC/ABC/FOX even bother broadcasting the event. Ratings are good, not great but it is the day before the TV season and pretty much guaranteed not to win that night in the ratings (Patriots-Ravens on Sunday Night Football). If the Emmys are going to shut out broadcast dramas that produce twice or three times the number of episodes a season as the cable/PBS series, why not let cable or PBS run the awards ceremony?
