WCBS has a strong base with suburban listeners, WINS owns the City (WCBS does longer stories, WINS has the "you give us 22 minutes we'll give you the world" motto). If you have two highly successful entities that have the market fairly well covered, I can't see a high ceiling for a third. Add in that those of us who work in office buildings and can't get AM stations now get them with ease on the internet, I just never saw the need for an FM news station. TVG -- TV or Not TV ....
