On the "Castle" episode ("The Blue Butterfly"), the detectives are tracking
down new clues from a murder that took place in 1947 involving a tough
private eye and a nightclub singer, both of whom disappeared after the
killing. (Series stars Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic played the roles
during flashback scenes.) During the investigation, the detectives
interview two witnesses, a married couple played by Chad Everett and Ellen
Geer. Lo and behold, it turns out that Everett and Geer *are* the private
eye and the nightclub singer, and have been hiding out under assumed names
for 60 years. Which was a neat twist... except that Everett was 10 years
old in 1947, and Geer was 6. I guess they couldn't find any 90-year old
actors to play the parts! But they added a nice sparkle to their roles.
