If it doesn't make any difference, then why doesn't NBC just make it clear
when the commentary is real time and when it is added later? I suspect
because to most people it does make a difference.

I guess in Nigeria they are showing yesterday's basketball game against the
US on delay, edited to show mostly Nigerian highlights, with a commentary
added after the fact to make it sound like the outcome was in doubt until
the end. It would only be 15 seconds long, but I guess it would get higher
ratings in Nigeria.
