Chairman Charlie Eargen says that time will prove that dropping AMC 
Networks channels was the right thing to do, despite the bad publicity he's 
getting now (mostly on said channels, with promo tags like "AMC--on cable 
and satellite but NOT on Dish Network"), claiming that his customers 
don't "watch vampires in New York" and that AMC's originals in particular 
get better reviews than ratings:
