Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who have produced musicals for stage (the
recent "How to Succed" and "Promises, Promises" revivals), screen
("Chicago" and "Hairspray") and TV ("Smash" and Lifetime's "Drop Dead
Diva," with its fantasy musical numbers and with a lot of musical theater
actors as regulars and guests), will be in charge of the Oscar telecast in
