Brit singer Cheryl Cole, who had been a judge on the original British
version since its inception, was dropped from the U.S. version after the
first two audition cities last season and replaced by singer Nicole
Scherzinger (who got replaced this season by Britney Spears)--Cole is suing
the dummy corp of producers FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell's
SYco, Inc. for not giving her the second season guarantee of $2M (like the
Animaniacs, she had a pay-or-play contract) and various allowances for the
first season:

BTW, "Animaniacs" reruns return on the Hub in January. Now THAT'S comedy!
