... like dogs and cats living together? Not quite, but a scene in the already-acclaimed Bin-Laden manhunt movie "Zero Dark Thirty" features the unlikely team of mob-boss Tony Soprano and interstellar rogue Captain Jack Harkness under the direction of an Oscar-winner.
In the film, James Gandolfini of "The Sopranos" and John Barrowman of genre faves "Doctor Who" and "Torchwood" (and now "Arrow") play a pair of government bureaucrats trying to clamp down on what appears to be a fruitless lead in the CIA's attempt to find and kill the terrorist leader. "Zero Dark Thirty" is directed by Kathryn Bigelow who scored an Academy Award for "The Hurt Locker." Although not a big star in the U.S., Barrowman is a familiar and flamboyant figure on the UK entertainment scene from musical theater to chat shows to sci-fi TV escapades. Kinda cool to see the man who delights Who-vians as the omni-sexual Capt. Jack in such a high- profile American feature, even if it's just a cameo. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
