Although the former Fox and Discovery exec made the usual statements about preserving the Chicago-based media company's holdings (and making a national cable player out of WGN America), the feeling is still that the just-out-of-Chapter 11 Tribune Co. is destined to be broken into little pieces and sold off, with Rupert Murdoch supposedly eyeing the flagship Chicago Tribune and the LA Times:
