It is an interesting article, but I don't think I know much more about why
the show went wrong. On the one hand the article seems to blame the
writer/showrunner Rebeck for not using the writer's room and making all the
choices herself (most of them bad), refusing to listen to anyone. OTOH, the
article seems to blame all of the "suits" from various levels of oversight
who stuck their nose in the kitchen and gave Rebeck too much and too
conflicting advice.

It does sound like it might be worth giving the show another chance, so I
guess I will.
