A man told his wife, who was at the beach and wearing a bikini: “You’re
fat. You look pathetic. You look stupid.” He added, in case his point had
not been made clear, “You look like Shamu.”

The remarks irritated the woman and, presumably, the TV audience at home
watching in 2010. The man and woman were actors pretending to be married on
an episode of “What Would You Do?” a hidden-camera segment of ABC’s
“Primetime” that stages provocative encounters in public places to see how
passers-by will react.

But the actor, a standup comedian who has also played homophobic and racist
characters to bait strangers on the show, is Vince A. Sicari, a municipal
judge in South Hackensack, N.J. And a judicial committee has said that the
two jobs are incompatible.
