Cablevision is taking Viacom to court over their requirement to bundle low-rated channels (they cite VH1 Classic, Palladia, and MTV Hits) with higher-rated ones under the guise of discounts.
http://adage.com/article/media/cablevision-sues-viacom/240037/ This comes after Time Warner showed they were serious about dropping low-rated, high-numbered channels (ooooh...way to show Ovation who's boss!) My first reaction was to go pop the popcorn for this show. But upon further reflection, I get the feeling this screams show trial rather than an honest attempt to figure out their fundamental problems. And, yet again, I sit money in hand waiting to be able to watch all of the Cubs games without a cable subscription. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
