Mitchell Kreigman, the creator of the 90s Nick sitcom "Clarissa Explains It
All," is returning to the Clarissa Darling character in a novel to be
published next year called "Things I Can't Explain," in which Clarissa
muses on her becoming a 23-year-old adult (in a remarkable instance of soap
opera aging, since she was 17 when the series ended in 1997):

All of which means that Melissa Joan Hart will be too old for the role when
the inevitable TV Land series version of the book begins (I'm assuming an
hour one-camera show like "The Carrie Diaries"). Oh well, there's always
the ABCFAM sitcom with Joey Lawrence (and she can be glad that unlike
Lawrence, she's not hosting "Splash").
