Thirty-six Peabodys awarded this year, a lot of them to overseas journalism
and documentaries (some of which we'll never see here)--Lorne Michaels gets
a lifetime achievement award, Univision's news department, where they seem
to have never heard of "Kardashian," gets recognized, along with veteran NY
public radio talk host Leonard Lopate (which I believe is heard nationally
on Sirius XM's Public Radio channels now) and even some local news shops
that are actually doing real news, other entertainment awardees include
"Southland," a D.L. Hughley Comedy Central special, HBO's Palin film "Game
Change," "Doctor Who" and "Switched at Birth," one I'm personally very
happy about, if only of the thought of the puking ABCFAM image voice saying
"the Peabody award-winning 'Switched at Birth'":
