My impression was that the sketch didn't work with the crowd (or really with me, it ran on a bit too long). I didn't get a nervous vibe, but I can see that happening.
Two things that heightened - for me - that it was a bit. One of the 'coming up next' promos that TBS has been running in Conan featured the sketch. The two gun-toting people were from "The Walking Dead," which emphasized this as well. The audience wouldn't know about the first, and given the size of the theater, many of them may not have picked up on the second. I've not seen or heard other feedback on that sketch, which aired on Tuesday (?).
