>From what I saw, KWTX, the CBS affiliate in Waco, seemed to be doing some
pretty good work of getting the story out last night without falling into
the two major traps that almost all breaking news coverage seems to fall
into these days--the endless loop of the same details and B-roll, or the
reporter who can't do anything more than state the obvious or engage in
speculation because he/she doesn't have time to gather much actual news
because he/she is doing live reports every few minutes. CBS News HQ could
probably have simulcast a few minutes of KWTX's stuff and had something
that was more informative than anything they could produce from New York.
